FOCUS & FELINES / APP INFORMATION

Your world.
Your device.

Privacy policy

How the app uses local data, what Apple’s optional features do, and what changes when you visit this website or contact support.

Effective date: October 21, 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers Focus & Felines and its app information and support pages at bigoppy.com/focus-felines/. Focus & Felines is operated by Luke Patterson. You can contact Luke at luke@bigoppy.com about the app or this policy.

Other projects linked from Big Oppy, including Minecraft and CICU Monitor, are outside this policy’s scope. Apple and other external services have their own privacy practices.

2. Data in the app

Focus & Felines does not require an account and does not send your game save or focus history to a developer-operated server. The current app has no advertising, third-party analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking.

The app stores data locally to provide its features. This includes your cats and their names, care and bond progress, keepsakes, adventures, room layouts, decorations obtained with earned fish, fish balances, app preferences such as sounds, colors and reminders, and focus session history, labels and settings.

Optional Screen Time selections are stored as Apple-provided opaque tokens. NFC pairing information is stored locally and a pairing identifier is written to a physical tag when you choose to pair it. These features do not upload this data to a developer server.

The app does not request your location. Room weather is decorative. The current app does not process real-money purchases.

Local data remains until you change or remove it, delete the app, or the device removes it. There is no in-app cloud sync or account-based recovery service. Apple device backups may include app data according to your settings; reinstall or device-transfer recovery is not guaranteed.

Backup files you export

If you choose Settings → Backup in the app, it creates a backup file of your save, including your cats, progress, rooms, fish, focus history and preferences. The file goes only where you choose to save or send it, such as Files or iCloud Drive. It leaves out Screen Time selections, NFC pairing details and any focus session in progress. Anyone with the file can read what is in it, so keep it somewhere private. Restoring a backup replaces the save on that device.

3. Optional permissions and Apple features

Screen Time
With your authorization, Apple’s Family Controls and Managed Settings features apply shields to the apps, app categories and websites you select. The app uses Apple’s picker and opaque selection tokens for this purpose. It does not see the names of what you select, and it does not send your selections or browsing history to the developer.
NFC
When you start a pairing or scan, the app uses Core NFC to read or write a supported tag. A tag’s contents may be readable by another compatible reader, so do not place private information on it.
Notifications
With your permission, the app schedules optional local notifications on your device, such as daily focus or care reminders, keepsake nudges, stretch-break reminders and new-cat arrivals. You choose which are on in Settings. The app does not use a developer-operated push notification server.
Widgets and Live Activities
The app shares display snapshots with its own widgets on your device, such as cat names and artwork, bond progress, focus timing, and summary totals. Screen Time selections and NFC pairing identifiers are excluded from these widget snapshots. Information you enable on the Home Screen or Lock Screen may be visible to people who can see that screen.
Controls and shortcuts
If you add the app’s control to Control Center, the Lock Screen or the Action button, it starts or stops focus on your device through Apple’s App Intents. No information is sent to the developer.
Sharing progress cards
When you choose Share in Stats, the app creates an image or short video on your device showing the cats, names and focus statistics you pick. It goes only to the destination you choose in Apple’s share sheet. If you save a card to Photos, iOS asks for permission to add it to your photo library; the app cannot read your photos.
Sounds and haptics
Focus sounds are generated on your device and play only while focus is on. The app does not use the microphone.

Apple may process device backups, App Store and TestFlight interactions, or diagnostic data under your Apple settings and Apple’s own policies. This is separate from the app’s local storage. See Apple’s privacy information.

4. Website visits and support messages

Opening a web page or sending a support message is separate from using the app offline.

Website delivery and diagnostics

These app information pages are static pages delivered through Cloudflare Pages. When you load a page, Cloudflare processes technical request information, which can include your IP address, the requested URL, browser details, and request time, to deliver and protect the website.

The website also enables Cloudflare’s Network Error Logging. Browsers that support this feature can send connection-failure reports to Cloudflare, including the affected URL and network or timing details, to help diagnose delivery problems. Cloudflare describes how it handles these reports in its Network Error Logging privacy information.

The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which loads a small script from Cloudflare to count page views and measure page performance. It can record information such as the page visited, the referring page, browser and device type, and approximate country. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage to track visitors. See Cloudflare Web Analytics. The app itself has no analytics.

These app pages contain no account registration, contact form or advertising script. Cloudflare’s delivery, security, analytics and diagnostic processing is separate from the app’s local storage. Security features may use necessary cookies. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and cookie information.

When you ask for help

If you contact support, the developer receives what you choose to send, such as your email address, message, app and device details, and attachments. This information is used to respond to your request and investigate the issue. Please send only what is needed and remove unrelated personal information from screenshots.

Support messages are received by Luke Patterson. Email service providers process messages to deliver and store email.

We keep support messages only as long as reasonably needed to handle the request, address related problems, or meet applicable legal obligations, then delete or anonymize them. You can request access, correction, or deletion by emailing luke@bigoppy.com.

5. Your choices and deletion

You can use the app’s Settings and iOS Settings to manage optional reminders and notifications, Screen Time authorization, and Live Activities. Remove widgets or controls if you no longer want their information visible. Delete exported backup files and shared cards you no longer want from wherever you saved them.

You can delete the app and its local app data in iOS Settings. Offloading the app retains documents and data. Device backups and other Apple-held information are managed through Apple’s settings and services; deleting an app does not necessarily remove existing backups.

The developer has no server-side copy of your game save to retrieve, transfer, or erase. For information you have sent to support, you may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing luke@bigoppy.com. Applicable rights and any lawful retention requirements depend on your location and the information involved.

6. Changes and contact

Changes to the app’s data practices will be reflected in this policy with a new effective date and any notice or permission required for that change.
